firmware update for its K-5 DSLR Camera. The update is said to offer the following improvements:
- RAW can improve the number of images captured with a focus on continuous shooting.
- Enhance the stability of the overall behavior.

Pentax today unveiled the new Optio RS1000 and RZ10 compact digital cameras. The Pentax Optio RS1000 is a customizable 14-megapixel digicam that features a removable faceplate to hold interchangeable skins of any personal design. You can customize the Optio RS1000 to match a mood, an event, a milestone, and so much more. What’s more, the RS1000 also boasts a large 3-inch LCD monitor and a 4x optical zoom.
The Pentax Optio RZ10 comes equipped with a 10x optical zoom lens, that you can use to capture a wide variety of subjects from travel and landscape to action and sports. This camera also supports a dual Shake Reduction (mechanical sensor-shift and digital) for effective blur reduction and an upgraded Auto Picture mode for “hands-off” selection of the most appropriate shooting settings. The Pentax Optio RS1000 and RZ10 will be released in October 2010 for $149.95 and $219.95, respectively.

Japan. This camera comes with a robotic color scheme that was inspired by the “
Kore Ja Nai” robo toy. Only 100 units of this dSLR that will be released. The Pentax K-x ‘
