Panasonic has updated the Toughbook 19 with a faster processor. This convertible tablet is now powered by the latest generation Intel Core i5-3320M vPro processor (up to 3.3GHz) with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, a 500GB 7200rpm hard disk drive (shock-mounted flex-connect with quick release), 10% longer battery life, USB 3.0 connectivity, an ambient light sensor and an improved battery calibration tool. The new Toughbook 19 also provides an optional integrated 4G LTE wireless or a 3G Gobi mobile broadband. The Panasonic Toughbook 19 convertible tablet is priced at $3,549 upwards.
Panasonic has recently released the waterproof Android smartphone in the Japanese market. The smartphone comes jam packed with a large 4.3-inch capacitive OLED display with a 960×540 pixels resolution, a 1GHz OMAP4430 dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel Auto Focus digital camera. It also supports NFC, a mobile wallet, an 8GB of internal storage space and a 1150mAh non-removable rechargeable battery. Panasonic has rolled out the firmware update version 1.1 for the Panasonic G2digital camera. The new firmware update adds support for 3D image capture and playback via a compatible TV set. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 will become available in January 2011 with either the 14-42mm lens for 599.99 GBP (about $970), 14mm lens for 629.99 GBP (about $1,019) or a 14-42m / 14mm twin lens kit for 729.99 GBP (about $1,181).
A new firmware update 'version 1.1' has just been released for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 superzoom compact camera. The update is "intended to address occasional banding or shadow noise that can occur in specific shooting conditions." You can download it starting today via Panasonic’s official website.
Word has it that the Panasonic GH2 Micro Four Thirds camera will be available in Europe on November 14th, 2010. This camera will also be available in Japan on October 29th, 2010. Too bad, there is no info on when the Panasonic GH2 will be released in the US market. Stay tuned for more updates.
