Vodafone UK has issued the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the HTC Wildfire, which is known as one of the company’s cheapest Android smartphones. Unfortunately, only users in Europe will get the update now, but HTC promises users around the world will also have it in February 2011. As a reminder, the HTC Wildfire comes jam packed with a 3.2-inch QVGA touchscreen display with the Sense UI, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm headset jack, a Stereo FM radio with RDS, an HTML browser, a social networking integration (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace) and a 5MP AutoFocus camera with flash.

Cricket Wireless is about to launch a new touchscreen phone ‘Suede SCH-r710′ from Samsung that will come with Cricket Unlimited Muve Music Service. This new service will provide unlimited access to millions of songs, ringtones and ringback tones, in addition to unlimited access to voice, Web, text, video and more. MSI will launch a new member from its CR family of laptops. Known as the MSI CR650, the laptop is based on AMD’s upcoming “Brazos” mobile platform. Sekonic Corporation will release the DigiCineMate L-308DC, the simple and easy-to-use light meter that can be customized to display only specific functions used by today’s DSLR videographers, cinematographers and still photographers. The light meter can be used to measure ambient and flash light, and is capable of both reflected and incident light metering. Here’s the latest firmware update ‘version 1.10′ for Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3 3D compact camera. The update solves the following issues:

Famitsu magazine has unveiled the Japanese release date for the gangland zombie shooter, Yakuza: of the End. The video game will be launched on March 17, 2011. Additionally, Sega has released a new Yakuza game coming this winter. It is a mobile social game called Yakuza Mobile for GREE. In this game, players raise and train Yakuza characters and collect weapons that can be transferred into Yakuza: of the End.

Canon has decided to update the EOS 60D DSLR by releasing a new firmware update. The firmware version 1.0.8 fixes the phenomenon where some captured images tend to overexpose when using the camera’s built-in flash or an external Speedlite in combination with specific lenses. As a reminder, the Canon EOS 60D has an APS-C sized 18-megapixel CMOS sensor with a DIGIC 4 image processor, a Vari-Angle 3-inch LCD screen, an SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, an ISO sensitivity up to 12800 and 1080p Full HD movie recording capabilities (30fps).

THQ has unleashed a new trailer ‘Occupation’ for their upcoming Homefront title. As mentioned before, this first-person shooter video game will hit PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in March 2011. Check out the trailer after the jump.

Designed by Jung Eun Park, the Samsung Ucim camera concept looks like some sort of USB hub at first glance. The camera features three USB ports that allow you to insert three USB flash drives, simultaneously. The idea behind this concept is to instantly share the same set of photos with two other people using their personal USB sticks. Using this unique camera, you can go to your friend’s wedding and take picture or record video with just one camera with two of your friend memory sticks attached.

According to the famous Japanese camera maker, Fujifilm X100 will have three focusing modes: continuous autofocus, single autofocus and manual. There’s also a function called hybrid viewfinder where users can check if the frame is sharp when magnifying a portion of the scene. There will also be a dedicated RAW button. The camera will capture in both JPEG and RAW even when you are pressing JPEG mode button. The Fujifilm X100 is expected to launch next March 2011 however, the company has not announced the price just yet. It was rumored that Fujifilm X100 will be sold on retail somewhere around $1,000.

A new firmware update ‘version 1.1′ for Coolpix P7000 compact digital camera has just been released by Nikon. The update provides the following fixes:

• Image recording time at image quality settings that include NRW (RAW) has been reduced.
• Lens control has been optimized to reduce the frequency with which the “Initializing lens. Cannot focus.” message is displayed.
• An issue that, in some rare cases, prevented zoom operation has been resolved.
• An issue that caused the monitor display to exhibit a loss of detail in highlights (blown highlights) when the shutter-release button was pressed halfway with Active D-Lighting enabled has been resolved.

The FCC has recently unveiled the new ASUS E600 Windows Phone 7 smartphone. The 850/1900MHz 3G band handset features a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 5.2-megapixel camera with an LED flash, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot and a 1,300mAh battery. Dead Space 2′s Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis has made a new statement concerning the upcoming release of Dead Space 2 demo. According to him, the game could land before Christmas. Nintendo has announced that they plant to release the Super Mario 25th Anniversary Commemorative Book in the Japanese market. The book will include 144 pages on a retrospective interview with Shigeru Miyamoto, a collection of Mario manga, stickers, a poster and a CD of orchestrated Mario music from the Press Start Symphony of Games concert series. If you want one, you can pre-order a copy from Amazon Japan for 840 Yen or about $10.

According to rumors, Sprint has offered the official Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Samsung Epic 4G in the form of an OTA (over-the-air) update. If you haven’t received it over-the-air, you will be able to manually download and install the update yourself. Please remember that you should backup your data before attempting such a move and proceed with caution.

Guerrilla Games has announced that Killzone 3 Helgast Edition will be launched in Europe. The Helgast Edition will include all from the Collector’s Edition such as PSN download voucher for the Killzone 3 soundtrack, an XMB theme and the Retro Map Pack (two map remakes from Killzone 2). There are also an art book, a “Cloaking Marksman” action figure and some in-game content. The game will come packaged in an awesome Helgast helmet. Too bad, there is no info on pricing at this moment.

Videotron Canada has decided to launch the LG Wink and Red BlackBerry Curve 3G on their network. Word has it that HTC will launch the HTC Desire HD in India “in the coming weeks”. The HTC Desire HD will retail for around Rs.35000 ($780). Sony Europe has issued the firmware update version 2.00 for the Sony A850 and A900 digital cameras. The free firmware upgrade refines shooting responses and creative options with the A900 and A850 35mm full-frame DSLR cameras by Sony. You can download the firmware software here.

Nikon is reportedly working on a new firmware update for its D7000 DSLR Camera. The update is said to reduce the occasional occurrence of bright spots while recording videos. Unfortunately, there’s no word on release date yet. -source-

Back to the Future: The Game is an upcoming graphic adventure video game based on the Back to the Future film franchise. Developed by Telltale Games, the game will be available in five episodes on multiple gaming platforms, the first episode appearing on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X platforms in December 2010 with Sony PlayStation 3 and Apple’s iPad following shortly thereafter.

Square Enix has announced pre-order bonuses and an “Augmented Edition” for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Priced at $69.99 (Xbox 360 and PS3) and $59.99 (PC), the Augmented Edition consists of a 40-page artbook, a bonus DVD with trailers, trailer storyboards, a making-of featurette, the soundtrack, a motion comic and a fancy box. The two pre-order bonus packs each contain a selection of new in-game weapons.
